Make a Monetary Donation

Volunteer

There are a number of ways you can make charitable contributions to the Friends for the Public Library. All donations are tax deductible.

Cash Donations

Cash donations can be made directly to the Friends. Simply send a check to: Friends for the Public Library, PO Box 26657, Albuquerque, NM 87125-6657. Note on your check that it is a donation and we will send you a receipt for tax purposes.

Membership Renewals

If you are a renewing member, you can specify an additional donation on your membership renewal form.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match charitable contributions made to a nonprofit organization. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program. In many cases employers will match part or all of your donation.

Planned Giving

As a 501(c) 3 organization, Friends for the Public Library welcomes planned giving. We are happy to work with your attorney, certified public accountant or attorney to assure that your gift is structured so that you can obtain the maximum tax benefit. Your current gift can include assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, other personal property. Deferred gifts can include bequests, life income gifts such as charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, pooled income fund, insurance, retirement plan gifts, or life estate contracts.

Memorial Bequests

If you, a friend or a family member would like to give a lasting gift, consider making a memorial bequest to the Friends. We will be happy to work with you and your family to designate a special area or project that truly reflects the interests of the person being memorialized and will acknowledge all gifts and the purpose(s)for which they are used to donors.

United Way

Are you currently contributing to United Way? Many employees have United Way donations directly deducted from their paycheck. Did you know that you can specify the recipient of your donations--including the Friends for the Library? Contact the United Way to find out how.

Register Your Credit Cards

Through our new Love Your Library program you can register your credit cards. Then when you use your card at participating merchants, the Friends automatically receive a portion of your purchase as a donation. It's simple, safe and secure. There is no charge to you and the Friends benefit.
